Meet Jenni the Herbalist
Hello, I am Jenni Pemberton - Professional Herbalist
Many people who have followed the pathway into Natural Therapies have lived with the experience of illness. I share in this journey from being very unwell and obese to now enjoying good health. Throughout my 30’s to early 40’s, I was diagnosed with autoimmune issues and had ongoing concerns with weight management. At the time my Doctor told me all they could do was keep me on certain medications - for the rest of my life. The downside of the “suitable medication” was that the side effects could possibly cause even more issues to my body.
I refused to accept this. I felt like there had to be another option. My Doctor couldn’t explain why my body’s immune system would turn on itself and create havoc, so this led me to undertake much research, passionately looking for a solution… there had to be a reason, an explanation or even a cause for how I felt and what was happening.
My enthusiastic research endeavours eventually led me to understand that the so-called “Food” I was eating could be a major cause of my disease… and was strongly linked to the cause of my obesity.
In the process of trying to change my eating habits and lifestyle, I experienced fluctuating emotional highs and lows. Daily self-sabotaging patterns caused me to look deeper than just food as the problem. I jumped onto my research venture into the emotional and environmental impacts on health. At the same time, an awareness of certain chemicals and effect of toxins on my body created another self healing journey and path of investigation.
The next few years had me delving into a variety of methods to improve my regard for myself and my body. This included working out how much exercise I needed to undertake, as well as studying Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Sedona Method for releasing emotions and traumas and a variety of reliable Breathing Techniques.
My interest in Yoga and Meditation encouraged me to travel to India with a group to study at Rishikesh. I loved it, but I was really discovering my ultimate passion was with gardening, plants and specifically the use of herbal medicines in everyday life.
Throughout all of this research and self discovery, I was learning so much about the benefits of using plants, herbs and spices. I discovered how much I loved experimenting with them for different types of remedies and found myself creating something new every day.
Today, I enjoy helping people discover how to use herbs in daily life. Teaching people about growing and using food as medicine, using whole food for health and living a back-to-basics lifestyle. It is fun and healthy!

Meet Jenni
My personal philosophies that I apply to every consultation:
- No one plan suits everyone
- There has to always be a “Cause or Reason”
- Three things to consider are - Diet, Stressors (Emotional & Physical) & Environmental triggers
- Gastro-Intestinal Tract often plays a large part in disease development
- Vagus Nerve stimulation can be an important part of healing
- The inclusion of herbs in people’s treatment plans can have a beautiful healing response

You may find it difficult to commit to the plan…..
But once you start to experience the benefits, you’ll become far more committed to the process.
